Could be that tinypic and photobucket are auto chopping anything that gets posted here.
Can someone test this by linking a series of totally harmless vids, like someone taking a dog for a walk? I'd like to know if this is manual deletion of kewtr content or if they are using a bot to kill anything we post.
I don't actually know how to post on kewtr or I'd do it.

We do have a bot of our own, sort of. And if the video you post is alive at the time you post it, it is saved somewhere.
I'll start something up in forums, but a solution to all of this would be an immediate auto-repost to some other frendlier neighborhood to host them.
I've gone through some in the past like 50megs.com and things, but you need to register and that's just not scalable.
The other option is I just host them myself here. That's a huge boner in my rear if stuff that's inappropriate gets posted, but I wonder if the 90% or so that's safe shouldn't just be left here ready to roll.
We have the technology. We have the bandwidth. I just need the balls :)

THE way to keep 99% of the posts up here is to enable youtube linkage.
I think the problem with Youtube is that if something gets marked 'adult' it doesn't maintain a specific URL for the FLV.
What I could do is actually just allow the Youtube player here, but that means it's tough to download the source. Thinking...
Also maybe a Youtube 'kewtr' channel with them posted here might work. Damn it to hell :)

I'd mentioned before that I've been using Keepvid.com for all my utoob needs, but something there has changed: Suddenly, a vid marked 'mature' can't be d/l'd until youtube sets the age verify cookie, which means a full login.
Perhaps you could create a kewt-tube page, and somehow leave an agent logged in all the time. Then, the vids could load when called. But what do I know, I don't get to write much code here at the 'home'.
There are plenty of ways to emulate an actual person logging in and say 'yeah I am 18', not certain how to pass that along to the end user. But I am sure there is a way, and I will definitely keep trying.
By keep trying I mean I'll put a few hours in on it a week. But this stuff is just as irritating to me as everyone else and I'm not planning to give up.
All this time, you (we) have been focusing on being able to play the vids thru the kewtr.com interface. But, so what if we can't?
I propose a special "Youtube and Other" page, where we post the link, description, and thumbnail, and the user then has to go to youtube to actually watch. This also means they'd have to build an account and login to see the racy stuff, which distances you away from the whole 'serving mature content to minors' hassle.
could you go to TOS or a similar site that seems to be able to emulate any youtube video on their site, and view their source code...see how they do it??
