Or try Firefox with Internet Download Manager plugin, which has a built in YouTube video catch function (also works with most other streaming video sites), resumes and accelerates downloads, and sets all your finds to download immediately or later in batch.

what is the basis for this tracking comment? i dont see anything of the sort
I never use keepvid, but I am interested in knowing what kind of tracking is going on. I figure the best tool is Video download helper on Firefox. Especially since it lays out the different video qualities available.
My bet is Google keeps track of it, but nobody ever says anything about that. Does https://www.youtube.com lead anywhere? Then you're not being made any more insecure by a third party monitoring your downloads.
